To Run in the Tom Green County 2026 Republican Primary
​
The filing period for public office candidates requesting a place on the 2026 Republican primary ballot opens Saturday, November 8, 2025 and closes Monday, December 8, 2025 at 6 p.m.
The Tom Green County Office will be available starting November 8 from 10 to 3 to accept ballot applications. Two Notaries will be available during this time.

On following days, we plan to have the office open from 10 to 2 Monday to Friday from November 8 to December 8th excluding Thanksgiving.

Filing in the 2026 Republican Primary Election

Candidates seeking the nomination of the Republican Party must file (1) a candidate application, and (2) a filing fee or petition in lieu of filing fee.
Note: The application along with the filing fee or petition in lieu of filling fee must be filed at the same time with the proper filing authority.
Filing Period
The application must be filed between November 8, 2025 and 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025. [Sec. 172.023]
